[New-imc] arafura and darwin

  Regarding the recent proposal by mimc to have dimc dissaffialiated.
  And the suggestion of constitutional exclusion of an individual.
  
  Contrary to the assumption made by Petros,

  We at arafura have not, at any time, made suggestions or attempted to influence the workings of any other imc.
  Melbourne has acted on their own behalf, and for their own reasons.
  
  Believe me, we were all just as surprised as you to read the proposal.
  
  Although I can fully understand the anger and frustration that Mick can  drive people to. I feel that we cannot actually support the proposal.
  To attempt to constitutionally exclude an individual from any  organisation sets a rather disturbing precedent. And only protects the  organisation from that individual. Not from like minded others. 
  
  We have not been engaging in an ongoing campaign to antagonise Mick,
  we ceased all correspondence on the subject of Mick Lambe, to the lists, some time ago. 
  It is Mick himself who has continued his campaign by posting  plagiarised articles and racist/hate comments on several select imc's  attacking netaxxs and attempting to discredit arafura. The tactic of  posting his own hate mail (in some attempt to gain sympathy) has been  one he has used many times over the last two years.
  
  My only objective in antagonising Mick in the first place was to "draw him out". To show himself to the world.
  I believe that Mick is a dangerous, destructive and obstuctionist individual.
  He believes he's the only true and valid activist in existence, and that the only true way to world peace is his way.
  
  I have previously made the accusation that Mick Lambe is either a police agent or quite mad.
  I now formally retract the "police agent" accusation.
  It seems that he is no friend of the Northern Territory Police either.
  Apparrently the N.T. Police don't like having to drop the charges when  they are about to pursue an "assault police" charge. Why? Ask Mick.

  I do not, however, retract the "quite mad" accusation.
  I'm not a psychiatrist, but I believe that Mick is seriously deluded, and in need of psychiatric help.
  
  He claims to be "family" to some Aboriginal people from Belyuen.
  However, following his attempts to assist in the Kenby land claim as a  spokesperson for the community, (using the same methodology in conflict  resolution that you have all now witnessed), creating deeper rifts  between the Aboriginal community and the local non-Aboriginal  community, and Mick's failure to attend his "fathers" funeral, saw this  family disown him, revoke their permission to stay on their community  and dismantle his dwelling on their land. Allowing the land claim to  proceed unobstructed.
  
 Mick is not the well respected friend  and champion of Aboriginal people as he claims to be. That Mick exists  only in the mind of Mick Lambe. No doubt I will now be declared a  racist liar. But fortunately my many Aboriginal friends know me well.  Mick does not.
  
 However, regardless of my personal opinion of  Mick, I do not believe it wise to go down the path of constitutional  exclusion of individuals. There are many more Micks out there. It is  best that when one encounters such individuals, that they are simply  exposed for what they are so that others may be made wary of allowing  that person to associate with their organisation.
  
 We have  made no comment on the proposal since it was put forward as we felt  that, as an unaffilliated imc, we had no right to do so. However, being  falsely accused of instigating the move leaves me no choice but to  interject.
