Since the intifada for independence in May'2005 Occupied Territories are a
battlefield, the repression of Moroccan authorities create hell in earth
for Saharawi people, the media are silenced by corporations who are
stealing the natural resources. We need and independent media centre

We only have our voice for claim our freedom.
With the interaction with IMC Canarias group we are involved in the acquire
of technical and organizing skills.

outreach:
In May 2007 some of us participate in Human Rights workshop commited by
Front Line Defenders, there we speak about the strengthening of human
rights in territories with independent media centers working there.

identity_makeup:
We are living under the repression, 30 years since the invasion, the only
news from saharawi fight comes from refugees camps, but there are a lot of
activists working for human rights in very hard conditions in occupied
territories.

steps_represent_diversity:
We are involved in human rights organizations like ASVDH, CODESA...., is too
difficult get connected in Occupied Territories, since Intifada there are
too many
problems with cell phones, and the email and IRC are the better workcases

With IMC platform, we plan to organize more hands-on workshops
to share technical skills and organization experience.
