17. Please write an introduction about why this group wants to participate
in the IndyMedia Web:

Becausewe need space to announce the human rights violations occuring in
Paraguay, and in reality all of the previouly undocumented and unreported
cases of suicide. Also, in order to declare and demonstrate the harsh
reality by larger means of communication which corresponds to a structure
of oppresive and assymetrical power, the violation of fundamental human
rights such as freedom of action and expression.

The collective Indymedia Paraguay will give the possibility to announce
its own social movements, the broadcast of events of popular interest for
the included sectors. Its announcements and mobilization, as well, will
gaurantee a fair access to information.

18. In which manner will you be able to contribute, in terms of the
spectrum of organizational and technical skills?

Physical space, machines with open access and a technical information person.

19. What kinds of activities have been done in order to contact a diverse
group of people?

People have come together through open meetings and discussions that have
invited social organizations and people from diverse backrounds, cities,
and countries.

We have been together since February, but seeing how we all have work and
study we haven't had the power to expedite the process and form the
collective group.

20. How does the group reflect on the diversity of the local community?
(For example, in relation to cultural identity, sexuality, sprituality?)

We participate in this group among men and women, between 20 and 60 years
of age, militants of distinct social organizations and universities.

21. If your group were to actually represent the diversity of the local
community, particularly in relation to groupsthat aren't represented like
they should be in social conventions y who are denied access to the
vehicles of expression, which steps would be taken in order to fix this?

We are in the process of opening spaces for people and distinct groups,
and many of us already work and support social organizations that probably
do not work directly for IndyMedia.

We have called together open meetings, periodically, in order to not limit
the internet contacts. In order to promote the bonds between existing
organizations and public radio. To direct correspondence attending to the
events then involve the sections that do not have access to all means of
media and communication.

For a long time we have been able to work with the formation of
alternative methods of communication with members of diverse
organizations.

22. What steps will you take in order to involve in individuals in topics
that are new for him/her.Which methods will be used in order to overcome
the divide between the work for genders?

To socialize the information on the internet between members and non
members of IndyMedia, including methods of mass, alternative, and common
communication.

The dynamic of the group will be the assembly and consensus, with this
power we hope to fortify the pluralalist character and anti
discrimination.
