Could you please give some more precise links to these documents?

The mailing list listinfo page you gave does not give direct links to
them, and there has been almost no discussion recorded on the mailing
list archive

for one year (since November 2006).

Maybe you gave the wrong URL (link) by mistake?

i don't think people should have to search through the full mailing list
archives to find the key information.
