[New-imc] [meeting] proposal for a informal meeting on irc

hi there!
This is a proposal for a meeting with the people involved with new-imc.
This meeting has no intention of making any decisions. But just share
thoughts and ideas related with the topics below. Although, I can't
predict if a proposal will come out of this or not. So yeah, it might
have a proposal in the end, but no decisions will be make.

here is the summary of the thing:

proposal:  meeting on irc.indymedia.org channel #new-imc at 3pm UTC -3
date:     setember 21th, friday.
Agenda: not a meeting to take any consensus or anything. But we propose
the group reflection on the following topic:

New-IMC processes where:

1. Local IMC's recieve a site before their process is over.
2. External help (person helping a collective pass through the new imc
process) become the liasson for the local imc's during the process.  
Leading to leave the local imc's without someone from the area who knows
other people in the network, knows how the communication in the network
works, knows what working groups exists in the network, what services
they provide, how to request something to them, how to participate on
them.  
3. How is this reflecting on our network: process that never gets a
resolution, no involvement of collectives on global processes and work,
lack of communication between groups resulting on lack of resources
being shared as well as knowledge and skills. 
4. Worst of all, the attacks issue, spam attacks and right wing attacks,
as well as lawsuits against indymedia. Where we can't contact the local
collectives, because there is no involviment in the network, know who to
contact would be a good help in these cases (specially the legal ones). 


a bunch of reasons why make this meeting: 
create spaces for free discussions where there is no intention to make
decisions but just to think about our work and our network is very
important. The experience of the payment-discuss list, where there was
nothing but the intention of discuss some situation and bring up a
proposal to the network, helps us reflect on our work and what we are
building here. 
The global imc network has beeing passing over a few problems, specially
with communication.  
New-imc working group has many experiences, and most people involved
here also follows other global processes.

pauta:   nao eh uma reuniao pra tirar consenso ou algo parecido. Mas ter
uma reflexao em grupo sobre o seguinte topico:

Processo do new-imc aonde:

1. CMI's locais recebem um site antes do seu processo ter terminado.
2. Ajuda de fora se tornar o 'liasson' (ponte) para o cmi local durante
o processo de new-imc. Deixando o coletivo local sem ninguem da regiao
que conhece outras pessoas da rede, conhece como a comunicacao da rede
funciona, conhece os grupos de trabalhos existentes na rede, que
servicos eles oferecem, como requisitar algum deles, como paticipar
nesses grupos de trabalho.
3. Como isso reflete na nossa rede, processos que nunca recebem uma
resolucao, nenhum envolvimento de coletivos nos processos e trabalho da
rede global, falta de comunicacao entre os grupos que resulta na falta de
compartilhar recursos, conhecimentos etc.
4. Pior de tudo, a questao dos ataques, ataques de spam ou da extrema
direita, como tambem processos legais contra o indymedia. Aonde nao
conseguimos contactar o coletivo local, porque nao existe ninguem
envolvido na rede global, saber quem contactar eh uma grande ajuda
nesses casos (especialmente nos casos legais).

uma pah de razoes pra se fazer essa reuniao:
criar espacos para discussoes livres aonde nao existe nenhuma intencao
para tomar decisoes, mas para refletir no nosso trabalho e na nossa rede
que eh muito importante. A experiencia da lista payment-discuss, aonde
nao tinha nenhuma outra intencao a nao ser discutir a situacao e trazer
para a rede uma proposta, nos ajuda em refletir sobre o nosso trabalho e
sobre o q estamos construindo.
A rede global CMI vem passando por varios problemas, especialmente na
parte de comunicacao. 
o grupo de trabalho new-imc tem bastante experiencia, e maioria das
pessoas envolvidad aqui tambem acompanham outros processos globais.
