[EN] Hey all, IMC linksunten - which formed a few months ago - are
currently going through the new-imc process. They have held several
meetings and have answered the networks questions and created the
necessary documents. It is my opinion that they are ready to become part
of the IMC Network.

wir denken, dass wir in der Lage sind als IMC zu arbeiten und als nächsten
Schritt eine Website aufzubauen. Wir haben im März 2008 einen politischen
Organisierungsprozess begonnen, den wir vollständig und offen in unserem

Wir haben uns über den Ablauf des Gründungsprozesses ausgetauscht und
Arbeitsgruppen gebildet. In diesen Arbeitsgruppen haben wir über die
politischen Grundsätze des Projekts diskutiert, Moderationskriterien für
eine kommende Website erarbeitet, finanzielle Mittel für unsere zukünftige
Arbeit beschafft und den Dezentralisierungsprozess von Indymedia in
Deutschland mit Medienarbeit begleitet.

Als nächste Schritte wollen wir uns um die Technik unserer Webpage sowie
Serverplatz kümmern. Weiter wollen wir im realen Leben Politik machen:
Workshops und natürlich Indymedia-Artikel sind geplant und teilweise schon
in Arbeit. Wir haben ein organisatorisches Fundament geschaffen und
beantragen daher die Aufnahme in das globale Netzwerk der Independent
Media Centres.

Dieses sind die wichtigsten Etappen unseres Organisierungsprozesses:

Am 15. April 2008 haben einige von uns zu einem ersten Treffen eingeladen.

sechs Sprachen und zwei Dialekten auf den uns umgebenden IMCs, auf
weiteren Webseiten, auf Mailinglisten, und in Auszügen auf Plakaten und
Flyern, sowie in nichtkommerziellen und ihm Rahmen der Berichterstattung
auch in bundesweiten kommerziellen Printmedien veröffentlicht

Vom 23. bis 25. Mai 2008 fand dann unser erstes Treffen im Autonomen
Zentrum KTS in Freiburg statt. Etwa 30 MedienaktivistInnen aus dem
südwestdeutschen Raum nahmen an dem Treffen teil. Am ersten Abend haben
wir diskutiert, was wir uns unter einem dezentralen Indymedia vorstellen,
was wir erreichen wollen, etc. Am Samstag haben wir dann das New-IMC-Form
(http://lists.indymedia.org/pipermail/new-imc/2008-May/0524-v5.html)
ausgefüllt und Ideen zu Moderationskriterien, Homepagegestalltung, etc
entwickelt. Am letzten Mittag haben wir noch eine Soliparty für Indymedia
linksunten vorbereitet und ein Communiqué in Deutsch und Englisch über das
Treffen (http://de.indymedia.org/2008/05/218280.shtml) geschrieben. Das
überwiegend in Deutsch geschriebene Protokoll

ist in Echtzeit während des Treffens geschrieben worden.

Vom 4. bis 6. Juli 2008 fand im Jugendzentrum in Mannheim das zweite
Treffen zum Aufbau von Indymedia Linksunten statt. Im Wesentlichen wurde
die inhaltliche Struktur der zukünftigen Homepage und insbesondere der
Startseite diskutiert. Darauf aufbauend wurde eine erste Version der
Moderationskriterien

ausformuliert. Leider waren diesmal nur 10 Leute beim Treffen. Erneut
haben wir einen Indymedia-Artikel

(https://www.jpberlin.de/www.autonome-antifa.org/imc/wiki/index.php/Zweites_Treffen)
geschrieben. Am Tag zuvor erschien ein Interview zu linksunten in einer
bundesweiten linken Zeitung (http://www.jungewelt.de/2008/06-03/053.php).

Vom 18. bis 20. Juli 2008 fand in Freiburg das dritte Treffen von
Indymedia linksunten statt. Erneut nahmen 10 Leute am Treffen teil.

Fellow media activists,

we consider ourselves capable to work as an IMC and as the next step to
create a website. We started an organising process in March 2008, which we
openly and in its entirety documented in our Wiki
(http://www.autonome-antifa.org/imc).

We have discussed the founding procedure and created working groups. In
these working groups we talked about the political principles of the
project, worked out an editorial policy for the upcoming website, raised
money for our future work and accompanied the decentralisation process of
indymedia in Germany with media activism.

As for the next steps, we want to take care of the technical side of our
website, as well as server space. Furthermore, we want to do real life
politics: workshops and of course indymedia articles are planned and are
partially under way. We have created an organisational basis and we are
therefore applying for membership to the global network of independent
media centres.

These are the most important stages of our organising process:

On the 15th of April 2008 an invitation was made for a first meeting. The

in six languages and two dialects on the surrounding IMCs, on further
websites, on mailing lists, in parts on posters and flyers, as well as

>From the 23rd to the 25th of May 2008 the first meeting took place in the
autonomous centre KTS in Freiburg. Some 30 media activists from south-west
Germany attended the meeting. On the first evening we discussed our
visions of a decentralised indymedia, our aims, etc. On Saturday we filled

>From the 4th to the 6th of July 2008 a second meeting took place in the
Mannheim youth centre. In general we discussed the future structure of the
website, in particular the front page. Based on this, we formulated a
first version of our editorial policy

Unfortunately, only 10 people attended the meeting. Once again we wrote an
