To new-imc people who don't remember or archive readers who don't
know, akop is the main contact for IMC Piter which started for the G8
@St Petersburg in 2006 and was accepted into the indymedia network
last year (2007):
http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Local/ImcCEEurope#Piter_http_en_wikipedia_org_wiki
IMC Piter, IMC Belarus, IMC Ukraine and IMC Russian-language are all
networked together and somewhat networked together with indymedia
and activists in Poland.
In general in the (ru) region, there is a problem of nazis (national
bolsheviks) trying to share the "antiglobalism" label with anarchists
and other human rights and animal rights activists. Several years
ago, the initial IMC Russian-language got into the tech control of an
individual in Berlin linked with nazis, and it took some work (not by me)
for the rest of the collective to regain control.
In late 2005, there was a request to create IMC Moscow from an
individual who is close to the (ex?)-editor of the National Bolshevik
Party Journal:

i don't know goren at all, but i don't see much chance of a collective
with him as the main contact being accepted in the network if the
russian-language region imcs believe that he has become close to nazis.
[BTW, akop: Do you have any links to articles about DPIN? Is there
a wikipedia page?]

This is not very specific: which organisations? Do they have web pages?
