Below is a copy of a letter from the imc-vic group, which as you might 
remember has re-organized, has followed all of our suggestions from 
new-imc on streamlining its editorial policies. Our colleagues have been 
patiently waiting for our network to re-activate the group's subdomain, 
victoria.indymedia.org

I would like to ask the volunteers who handle indymedia's DNS to please 
make the arrangements ro point the subdomain

As our global network has been diminishing, it's exciting to see one of 
our groups and websites reactivated again. Let's take this last step to 
re-integrate imc-victoria into the network and hope that indymedia will 
start growing again.

Hello from Victoria IMC. I've sent this message directly to your email
instead of the official "new-imc at lists.indymedia.org" channel because
I haven't heard any responses from that group. We received the
constructive criticisms and recommendations concerning our editorial
policy and have decided to follow your advice and write a new one with
guards against spamming and hate postings etc. We are currently
working with a group of media activists in Vancouver where there is a
media center for independent coverage of the Vancouver 2010 Winter
Olympics. Even thought there are several groups working through this
center (http://www.no2010.com and http://olympicresistance.net), I
still believe there is a place for an IMC collective in this scene.
Our site will cover a greater variety of issues, not just olympic
resistance news, and will operate beyond the time-frame of the games.
Our site has now been operational for a year and we were wondering if
there are any concerns or suggestions that you would like to make to
us in order for us to gain approval from the
global IMC collective, and receive the domain http://victoria.indymedia.org
