[Oscailt] Upgrade

Hi Arne,
I would be interested to know more details about the problems around the topics, regions and types tables. For the v3.5 release, the field language_id was added to these so that you could have different names in the different languages. So for example topic_id = 1 could have say a transation for 3 different languages and these could be say language_id =1, 2 and 3. So it would look like this:
topic_id, language_id, topic_name
1 , 1 , Environment (say in English)
1 , 2 , Umwelt (Environment in German)
1 , 3 , omgivning (Environment in Swedish)
With the v3.5 release this is what happens. If you have say 3 languages defined on your site (as above), then when you go to update the topic (topic_id=1), you need to provide some text for all 3 language versions of it, otherwise there is some unresolved problem.
This might be the problem that you had. I am not sure what changing the index would do, but changing the primary key could break it.
For the problem about the article number and title on the front page, I would need more information about this.

Subject: [Oscailt] Upgrade
Hello everyone out there!
I have succesfully upgrade knared.biz from 3.4 to 3.5 thanks to very
good upgrade instructions.
The only minor problem I had was when adding the "language_id" for
topics, regions and types
in the database, I did that manually:
After deleting the primary key and adding the new one including
"language_id" are both the primary key
and the index key pointing at topics_id, region_id and types_id. And
that don't work at all when one is
trying to create new topics, regions or types. Therefore I changed the
index keys in the database to point
to the names instead. And that seems to be working.
Another problem is that after the upgrade the article number i shown
together with the title at the front
page. I know there is a setting for that but I can't find it, please help.
Best regards
Arne Johansson
