List traffic is now enabled.  I am glad to see that many who have
expressed opinions about this issue have signed up.  Maybe we should
start with introductions?

I am Nick from Houston and NYC.  I have spent some time working with
different IMCs around the Americas.  My tendencies are towards the
all-volunteer model, but my primary concern is that discussion on this
matter be respectful, supportive, intelligent, and tactical in the
sense that we should try to influence each other's thinking instead of
expressing our indignation. I am also concerned that this discussion
include our brothers and sisters from Latin America.  If anyone can
help with the translation, please let us know.
