[Seattletech] impersonation

Comrades,

I noticed someone impersonated me in one of the current newswire threads
(http://seattle.indymedia.org/en/2006/03/252375.shtml).  I pointed this
out so that no one would be misled by it.

Is there any way of preventing this kind of thing from taking place?  For
example, what would it take to add a feature to the Indymedia software to
allow for optional username regisration?

It seems as if people would have a lot more confidence in what they read
on IMC if there was some level of identity protection.

Unfortunately I know next to nothing about programming.  I had a hard
enough time figuring out how to customize WordPress.  So in practical
terms, all I really have to offer are suggestions.
