Dear IndyBay,
My name is Jenne, and I am working on a promotional video for a non-profit
environmental organization called Pacific Environment in San Francisco.
In figuring out some logistics for this video's production, I've recently
been trying to find a place where I can edit this video.
I know that IndyBay is also a grassroots group, and that you all support
initiatives for social, economic, and environmental justice. Pacific
Environment embodies these goals too, as we work with grassroots
organizations around the Pacific Rim in order to support environmentalism
that is economically and socially sustainable. As you all are a media
collective, I was wondering if you all might have, or know someone that
has, editing equipment that we could use.
Our hitch is that, as a non-profit, we have almost no budget for this
video project. Everything being put into the video thus far, from my
production time to our voice over artist's talents to the music, we've had
to acquire at no cost. Likewise, I unfortunately need to track down a
place where we can edit this video for little to no cost.
Pacific Environment will be using this video strictly as an informational
tool. We will not be selling it, and we will not be profitting from it,
as we are a non-profit organization. The reason why this video will be so
important, however, is because it will be used to support the struggling
environmental efforts of grassroots activists around the Pacific Rim.
Our time frame for this video project is limited. I will only be in San
Francisco working on this project until mid-December, so I am hoping to
begin editing by mid to late November.
I know this is an unusual scenario. But, if you all have any editing
equipment that I can use for this project, or if you know of anyone who
might, I would truly be grateful to know about it. Any help that you can
offer is enormously appreciated.
Thanks so much, and I hope to be in touch.
Sincerely,
Jenne Turner
