[Sfbay-video] hard drive trouble shooting - help!

Sorry,
I suppose I should clarify... I've never encountered
problems when daisy chaining hard drives, just when
chaining drives to i/o devices like DV decks, etc.
Regardless, if the keyboard (which is USB, right) is
having some kind of effect on the firewire devices, it
sounds more like a driver issue than a drive problem.
