A new documentary short by Peace Corps volunteer
& Video Feedback BCM member Wendy Shapiro

Friday, January 28th at 7:00pm

Doors open at 6:30pm
A $10 donation will be requested at the door
This fundraiser will benefit the Mykolayiv Humanitarian Organization (see
info below).
 There will be refreshments, Q&A with Wendy and an auction of Ukrainian
movie posters.

 Filmed over the last two years in collaboration with Ukrainian video
artists, this explores the impact Peace Corps volunteers have on individual
citizens and Ukrainian communities.

 Join us and hear about Wendy's experiences working in Ukrainian communities
and founding a new humanitarian organization focused on promoting the
awareness of community programs through video.

Wendy recently received a one-year extension on her Peace Corps contract and
is now working full time with Mykolayiv Humanitarian Organization, a
non-governmental organization she helped found.  MHP's mission is to
"promote the awareness of community-instigated projects and civil society
activities" through video projects, thus helping to promote the belief and
understanding that individuals and a community can initiate programs that
benefit society. The focus of their first project will be a program in
Odessa to help young drug addicts.
