Hi,

whatcha think, do we want guest access for the SoS queue?
We will need to send new users' passwords manually then (or write a
script which set up users with random passwords and informs them).

Personally, I'd say yes.

Hi!

Some people have noted that using SoS decreases transparency on the
working groups' work. To offer a way to work around this problem, the
SoS team has created a guest user:

username: guest
password: guest

This user is a backend user so we can fine tune its permissions. As
such, she needs to login at https://sos.indymedia.org/admin

This user cannot create new tickets. And currently, it cannot view
anything but the FAQ function (which is not currently in use).

Please consider and discuss allowing guest access to your queue and
think about what this will mean about handling passwords etc. Please
discuss this on your working groups' mailing lists (you could forward
this email there). If your working group thinks that it's ok to allow
guest access to your queue, please send a request on that to
sos at sos.indymedia.org and we'll set you up.

The login credentials will be made publicly available at
http(s)://sos.indymedia.org/ and http(s)://sos.indymedia.org/admin shortly.
