there's already a huge amount of data in the contact db relating to
rss feeds:

some of the these feeds show up in parseable form here:
http://www.indymedia.org/citiesinfo.xml

there's also a feed of the "best" available feature feed for each imc:
http://contact.indymedia.org/feature_feeds_rss.php

the other two ideas(publish and contact page location) sound really
good, though.
