Well we could change everything to use the same IP and
give all but one back.

I'm not sure exactly what would need to be done with the
httpd.conf stuff (the debian way of configuring apache2
still confuses me...) but I expect that we could set it
all up to work with the current ip's and also in a way
that would work with only one and then do the dns change
request.
