The links at the bottom of the first paragraph are broken. It looks like
maybe a < got left out on an </a>. Can someone fix this?
The html for the first para should be:
<p>As the RNC rapidly approaches, New York City continues to heat up.
United for Peace and Justice, organizers of the large August 29 march, and
the National Council of Arab-Americans are both <a
href="http://nyc.indymedia.org/feature/display/101924/index.php">suing the
city</a> to be allowed to protest in Central Park. Meanwhile, Mayor
Bloomberg and tourism officials are offering <a
href="http://nyc.indymedia.org/feature/display/101504/index.php>"well-behaved
protesters"</a> baby blue buttons saying "peaceful political activists"
that will give them discounts at restaurants and museums and the NYPD is
<a
href="http://nyc.indymedia.org/feature/display/101702/index.php">"shadowing"</a>
56 activists from around the country.</p>

Also, and this is a fairly minor point, the heading at the top was changed
from protest to election. But from where I sit, the protests against the
RNC aren't about whether the US elects a Democrat or a Republican but
about the war in Iraq (and all the other countries hit by US imperialism)
and the war at home. I don't really have a problem with the heading being
changed from protest if other people think something else works better,
but I don't think election is the appropriate heading.
