Hello Global IMC, - Below I am posting a feature on the demonstrations in
Canada against the first official state visit of George Bush, which took
place between November 29th - December 1st. There were large-scale
demonstrations and direct actions, in Ottawa and Halifax where Bush
visited.

Below is a brief report, along with links from IMC Ottawa & Maritimes and
also other sources. I have pasted the relevant links in brackets after the
word or phrase, to which they are intended to be linked. I hope this makes

The demonstrations, which took place in more than 25 cities throughout
Canada {http://www.en-camino.org/bush} focused on the ongoing occupations
of Iraq {http://www.dahrjamailiraq.com} and Palestine
{http://electronicintifada.net/new.shtml} while also drawing attention to
the Canadian governments complicity
{http://www.wsws.org/articles/2003/aug2003/can-a30.shtml} in the so-called
"War on Terrorism". In Halifax {http://maritimes.indymedia.org} more than
3000 people marched against Bush.s first visit to the city in street
demonstrations, which marched against the ongoing military occupation of
