hi mazzetta, all,

The published (not updated) version says in the abstract:

"for reasons including: stopping the planned opening of an
international oil-petrochemical-gas stock exchange for oil trade in
euros"

and in the content:
"After the opening, initially announced for 20 March 2006 though
probably greatly delayed, of the Iranian oil exchange"

i don't see how the news you're referring to makes the above statements
any more or less realistic. The news you refer to does not say either
that the Bourse was never planned, or that it has been cancelled, or
that the US government/corporations are not concerned enough about it
to be more motivated to go to war in order to stop it, or at a minimum
to threaten attack in order to discourage investors.

"initially announced ... though probably greatly delayed" meant that
the 20 March 2006 date was initially announced, but probably greatly
delayed. And now we say that it has been delayed. So i don't see any
great need to make any correction, except that "probably greatly delayed"
should now be "was delayed", if we wanted to have a constantly updated
article which is off the home page anyway.

Anyway, we're getting quite off-topic here.

gdm blocked my update proposal and made a new proposal:
Wed Mar 22 04:36:49 PST 2006
http://lists.indymedia.org/pipermail/www-features/2006-March/0322-3d.html

he clarified it in response to my question:
http://lists.indymedia.org/pipermail/www-features/2006-March/0322-1c.html

and noone since then has had any objections.

i withdrew my update proposal in favour of his proposal.

So i suggest you make your suggested changes directly on
https://docs.indymedia.org/view/Local/ImcIranFeatureStopAttack

with the intent of proposing a new article some time in the future and
maybe we should create
https://docs.indymedia.org/view/Local/ImcIranFeatureStopAttackDiscuss

for discussing it (mediawiki style) or else choose an appropriate mailing
list.

If you have contact with grassroots groups in Iran, and if they
want to organise indymedia, or if you want to help communicate with
the groups i cc'ed to (see previous emails) and help them network together
etc, and if they want to create a local indymedia, then i think that
would go in the direction that all of us would be most comfortable
with.
