ABSTRACT:

Saturday, 7 October 2006, will see a <a
href="http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2006/09/351141.html">Transnational Day of
Action Against Migration Controls</a>. The day is the 3rd of its kind [see <a
href="http://www.noborder.org/actionday2004/display.php?id=288">1st</a> and <a
href="http://www.noborder.org/actionday2005/display.php?id=323">2nd</a>] and
was <a href="http://ouest.tachanka.org/%7Eoct7/athens.html">called</a> by a <a
href="http://ouest.tachanka.org/%7Eoct7/groups.html">broad network of
migration-related initiatives</a> during the <a
href="http://www.fse-esf.org/">European Social Forum</a> in Athens earlier this
year. As of 5 Oct, over 250 groups from 23 countries have signed the call.

The day will see an unprecedented number of protests throughout the world. Below
is an uncomplete list of events and actions planned for or around the Day. If
not stated otherwise, they are taking place on Saturday, Oct 7, 2006.
