Thank you Bradley, I think it's a very good idea, and I'm glad that at
least one more person (someone other than me) is actually saying it in
those words.
Asking for personal introductions and a re-familiarization of those of
us who are enrolled here would be a good approach.
I'd like to re-send my most recent "Personal Introduction letter" to the
list - it's from March this year, published here:
http://lists.indymedia.org/pipermail/www-features/2007-March/0303-bs.html
and reproduced below. As you can see it also addresses the same old
stuff about organization, protocol and process that most of our
colleagues would rather not hear.
Anyway, thanks for the new initiative and I hope it works out. I'd be
into helping with the revitilizing/re-organizing the www-features list.
Thanks,
Petros

Hi Rona,
Welcome (again). It's good to have more voices among us from the Muddled
East.
And friends,
("he said, turning his keyboard and addressing our www-features group as
a whole..."),
Speaking of roll call, the truth is that no one knows who is on this
editorial work group - or at least there has not been a clear update of
introductions for a long time.
Plus, given the almost chronic problem here of absence of documentation
or clear-cut procedures for determining certain duties,
responsibilities, and the volunteers who will shoulder them (for example
the questions of who can post on the Features column, the calendar,
etc.; who has access to passwords and administrative levels of the
server for the global page; who has admin control of this list; and how
we decide those things, are all unknown), it would be very helpful if we
were to do a complete round of introductions again. It might even make
it more possible to someday articulate together (or make conscious) our
method and procedure here.
{It's no one's fault, but we must recognize that at some point or other
we've let our committment to transparency and accountability to each
other slip away...}
Would it be agreeable to everyone to do a round of introductions again?
Here's a little about me - text and links below.
Thanks,
Petros

Hello,
Petros Evdokas is my real and full name.
I am a volunteer/ founding member of the Cyprus IndyMedia group, and a
member of its editorial collective.
I have been active in the global indymedia network through personal
/political organizational and individual contacts and online
participation since the Spring of 2001:
- active participant in the imc-finance group since the winter of 2001/02;
- active participant in the new-imc group since its inception;
- active in the (re)foundation of the imc-communication list as a global
network tool, and liaison of Cyprus imc to it.
- on and off active on the imc-process list (depending on its scope of
activities and its admins);
Currently I divide my time (phycically) between the US and Cyprus.
Anything and everything one might want to know about me (and more than
one might imagine) can be found by perusal of this delightful little page:
