:) I don't know much about the global guidelines, but I'll be happy to adapt and help in any way I can...

hi Sofia, and all,
There's a challenge with features posted at indymedia.org because they can not (should not... ) be updated after they are posted and a translation has been added. Translations are added by anyone that can view indymedia.org. Therefore it is not currently practical to update a feature AND all the translations that have been posted. There are complications regarding language and that people can not update translations (unless they have admin access).
So the features can not be merged at this point, and they can not be updated either.*
Certainly it is important to feature news and links to all the solidarity demonstrations taking place around the globe -- as many as can be found by a certain cut-off point. Then, more can always be added as a comment. Comments, in any language, are displayed on all versions of the feature / translations.
Tools like IRC and a Wiki (docs.indymedia) WorkPad are very helpful in times like these. And, having help from more people is always great too!
*There are times when people have updated features, usually only the original version, and that original version is often english. At least that's what I seem to recall. However, I believe this practice goes against the documented guidelines and is something that I personally avoid.

I think it would be good to merge the 2 into one feature, and add local (global) mobilizations as they occur.
