Housing juni 24th

People who are living as a comunity at Vila Santa Rosa in Florianópolis
organised a protest march on june 23nd at the front of the building of the
Santander Bank. They protested the threat against 36 families that were
going to be thrown out of their homes due to a demand for re-integration of
ownership of an area at "Avenida Beira-Mar Norte".
The demand for re-integration of ownership is made by the Building
Contractor Taruma, legal owner of the land. The area was originally given by
the Union to Emedaux Corporation in 1983. Later on the area has been given
to Meridional Bank and then to the Spanish Bank Santander. In 1993
Meridional Bank demanded the re-integration of ownership, given in 1997. In
2002 Santander Bank sold the area (4.8 thousend m2) to the Building
Contractor Taruma for R$ 160 thousend , payable a thousend a month.
On june 13th was the due date for the families to leave the area. After
series of protests, resulting in two projects favorable to the community by
representatives (Câmara dos Vereadores), the major office ( prefeitura )
proposed to move the families to another area. The families want to stay in
the area.
A new date for the "re-integration of ownership" has been set by the judge
Saul Steil for them to leave within 20 days. The comunity of people leaving
at Vila Santa Rosa wants the new due date to be postponed and thinks that
with pressure the House of Representatives can change the ownership of the
area, giving it to the families.

tenho dúvidas quanto as palavras:

-pedido de reintegração de posse (traduzido como a demand for
re-integration of ownership )
-representatives (Câmara dos Vereadores),
-the major office ( prefeitura )
